RM27-02 orange nylon strap white carbon skeleton case Tourbillon RM factory top grade Rafael Nadal WT485
The new RM 27-02 is a sports tourbillon watch designed by RICHARD MILLE for tennis player Rafael Nadal. It not only uses an ultra light case, but also has super stability to withstand the huge acceleration at the moment of hitting. In the final of the men's 400m sprint at the Rio Olympic Games, South African athlete Wayde van Niekerk wore this watch to cross the finish line and win the gold medal.
Inspired by the racing chassis, RICHARD MILLE "integrates" the hollow main splint of the movement and the watch case, thus greatly improving the impact resistance. In order to make the watch lighter, Richard Mille also cooperated with North Thin Ply Technology to develop a hard and wear-resistant "quartz fiber" ultralight material to make the watch case. The weight of the whole watch is like a thin sheet of paper, and it presents the rough texture like Damascus steel.
The structure of the whole movement can be clearly seen through the watch mirror. Six points are the floating tourbillon, and twelve points are Richard Mille's unique fast rotating spring box, which can provide up to 52 hours of power storage and improve the kinetic energy efficiency by 20% at the beginning of the chain.
The white watch ring is fixed to the case by 12 five stage titanium screws, matched with an orange strap and a red crown. In order to improve reading recognition, the end of the time division needle is also highlighted in bright orange.
